I am 16 and am currently a junior at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, California. I am a young woman who loves to be surrounded by family, friends and the people who matter most to me. I love to dance; it's my passion! I’m very close to my sisters. My parents are my biggest role models. I believe that being yourself will help you discover so much about what YOU can really accomplish! I hope to stay on this path of happiness and courage, and I can't wait to see where it takes me!
My Top 5 tips for surviving Jr. High:
1. Stay TRUE to yourself, be honest and really LISTEN to your wants and needs.
2. Get involved! Try new things, and learn more about yourself.
3. Relax! Everybody deals with stress, and new things, remember: You're NOT
alone!
4. Stay Strong! If you have an opinion, speak up! If you remain honest and true
to your feelings, you can't even image what tough stuff you'll get through.
5. Do what's right for YOU. It's important to be considerate of others, but
ultimately you have the right to listen to your heart and make the right decision
for yourself.
I am 17 and a senior this year at Gaylord High School in Gaylord, Michigan. I am the oldest of 4 kids and do my best to impact each of them in a positive way. I play soccer and LOVE it! I am a very strong Christian, and have grown up in a Christian home my whole life. Family is everything to me. They are always there for me, along with many friends and my boyfriend. I am very energetic, active and outgoing. I plan on attending Taylor University in Indiana and want to become a Pediatric Pathologist or an Elementary School teacher. Everyday I try to live life to the fullest and take advantage of every opportunity. It’s been really important for me to make good decisions, because I know that the decisions I make now will shape my life in the future. All in all, I LOVE LIFE!
My Top 5 tips for surviving High School:
1. Have FUN!
2. Make smart choices by knowing your priorities.
3. Don't worry about what other people think
4. Do stuff! Take advantage of the opportunities and activities available to
you - get out and have fun!
5. Get to know people, even if you don't think you would ever talk to them.
You can have a impact on people without even knowing it.
I am 23 and a graduate from Washington State University. I am THRILLED to be leading Compass for Teens! I am the youngest of three daughters and am very close to my family. I have a wonderful boyfriend and a niece and two nephews whom I adore! I’m incredibly thankful for Compass. It’s taught me so much about myself. I need my independence but it's great to know that I'm never in it alone! I believe in making the most of each day, but worrying about the future is a tough habit to kick. I believe in working hard for what you want and working even harder for what you believe in. Everyone deserves a second chance and no one deserves a third. I believe in good manners, first impressions and being REAL. I believe in family ties and in firework-romance. We all have the right to be loved. I’m focused on fitness, my spirit and my relationships. Life is wonderfully unpredictable; embrace whatever it throws at you and wear your seat belt. God never gives us more than we can handle.
