Welcome from Reba Charleston
My journey began in corporate America working many years for a technology company; and although I was satisfied with climbing the corporate ladder early in my career, eventually I found myself wondering why it felt like something was missing.
In 2008 I had back surgery to adjust a problem that was causing excruciating pain from my sciatic nerve, and it took a little over a year to recover. I never experienced back problems before and felt blessed to have gone through a smooth recovery, so after surgery I became focused on health and fitness and dropped over 25 lbs. I was always physically active in the past, but I was not as conscious about my dietary needs; so post-surgery was the perfect opportunity to become more serious and create true balance.
The period spent recovering at home was spent contemplating my impact on the world, and I concluded that promoting technology products was not the legacy I wanted to leave. Internal reflection led to the decision to become a life coach, certification training through the Institute of Life Coach Training (ILCT), and as a representative and coach with Compass.
In addition to a BS degree in business, I have over 15 years of communication, leadership, and human behavioral training through corporate management programs, mentorships, non-profit board service, and personal improvement endeavors.
Servant leadership and paying it forward have always been a priority, and I’ve participated in numerous causes supporting the Big Brothers/Sisters organization, victims of domestic abuse, professional groups to aid the less fortunate, and involvement with networking organizations often focused on minorities, teens, and women.
Learning to embrace change has been an important tool in my own growth and my desire to uncover all that life has to offer. Life coaching has made a huge difference in my life, and I’m passionate about sharing this knowledge to empower you and provide support on the journey toward your goals. I believe you can change if you are ready to embrace it and have a strong desire to fill the gap between your current existence and wherever your dreams may take you.
