About Me

I learned early that being me and upholding my values serve me best. Therefore, I manage my life with integrity and courage. I have PERMISSION to be me. Whatever you do, you have to do it from a clear sense of self...in order to be true. The significance of being able to go to college from the small town of Denton, Maryland; and then further to Medical School is not lost on me. I have been granted PERMISSION to be an agent for healing and I am showing up to be used.

My coaching group is named PERMISSIONGRANTED, because I believe Permission has been granted 1) to live the greatness GOD has assigned to us 2) to use our talents 3) to choose how we show up in the world 4) to say "no" and 5) to be as Judy Garland said, "a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of someone else"

For me, women equal health. If women are healthy, then families, communities and the nation are healthy. COMPASS fits! I have completed twenty plus outstanding years of consistently successful career development where initiative, organizing, communicating, logical thinking and using common sense are essential, extensively practiced and at times, a matter of life or death. Ultimately, I have achieved international and national acclaim as a Public Health Expert and know what it means to listen well and have patience!

My life is balanced with the love of my husband and three adult children; a son in law and a granddaughter, who is just simply "joy". I read ferociously, attend to my music, travel, visit/communicate with family and friends; and at times, do nothing, by permission. Living on our farm allows me to connect with "wonder" each and every day.
