Debra is a model, actress, author, and self-esteem coach who has made it her mission to empower and teach “What I now know, and wish I knew back then.”

After years of being immersed in the “beauty” industry and challenged by her own self-esteem issues, Debra has journeyed to a stronger sense of self and is now the Founder and CEO of Heartlight Girls, an organization dedicated to the empowerment of preteens, teens, and women.

Debra’s passion is to help counteract the negative role models, unhealthy media messages, and the critical and judgmental nature of today’s society, in an attempt to reduce the high cases of eating disorders, bullying, depression, substance abuse and even suicide amongst our youth.

Through her Heartlight Girls book series, classes, and speaking events, Debra connects girls and women to the essence of who they are, building a foundation of self-worth “from the inside out,” at the core, where self-esteem begins.
