For years I looked for a place to make my stand. Reiki Master, Astrologer, Minister, Counselor, Geek --- somehow, there had to be a place for all of it. When the Internet exploded, I knew it was near. My time had come. And then, there was the incredible overwhelm of options. Too many solopreneurs. Too many confederations of alternative modalities. Too many trends and way, way, way too many dot Com explosions. Wait. Wait for it, I told myself.
Some two years ago, the dust began to settle, and I did poke my head out and look around. Nothing really. Some interesting sales organizations, but I am a natural born leader, and i didn't like that there were so many steep paramids out there. Who needs that? Work for myself and STILL have to fight my way up?!
And then, I became a Compass client. I played in the PDN. I watched the blogs, the responses and the people. I got two things very clearly. I am a CEO of my business. I had better be a leader --- because I was at the top of my own organization. I saw something else though. The executive, so untouchable and barricaded in most organizations, was right out in the trenches. Sending status updates. Blogging. Responding to blogs. Creating discussions. Reaching out to anyone who caught their eye.
So, I became a Compass Rep, so I could become a Compass Coach. Because Compass means something more than the PDN and the amazing Action System. The Compass leadership walks their talk. They are not elitist. They are supportive of everyone. There has been no chance for the executive in this organization to become wrapped in the cotton wool of specially prepared financials and targeted incentive winners. Compass leadership is right there.
Don't believe it? Take the Compass Challenge. Go read the Wall of the different groups supporting the challenge. The thought leaders and business leaders of Compass are right there on the wall with us. Insight or coaching question, they participate.
That's the real Compass difference. Anyone considering a business opportunity with Compass should take note of it. Compass Leaders work their process on the PDN, on the FaceBook and in their own lives. It is inspiring and certainly the best environment to nurture yourself into your own business.
