Welcome from Bettie Farrar
Bettie is a Senior Strategies and Chief Learning Officer at Flackventures. She has over 26 years of training and human resource management experience in both health care and long -term care organizations. Her experience has included serving as Corporate Trainer for Constellation Energy’s Senior Living Division, as well as leadership roles in the Human Resources Department of a number of Non-Profit organizations including Associated Catholic Charities of Maryland, Life Care Services and Collington Episcopal Life Care Services. Bettie has used her expertise in long term care, leadership and human resources to develop competency based training programs. These programs have been used to initiate transformational culture change, foster teamwork within and across organizations.
Bettie has a Masters degree from Loyola College in Baltimore Maryland and a second Masters in the Management of Aging Service from the Erickson School at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County. In addition she completed the Hopkins Fellowship program in Organizational and Community System at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She has received certificates from the National Multicultural Institute of Washington D.C. in Diversity Training. Her accomplishments include being selected by Essence Magazine as 'an Essence Woman' in 1983;selected by the Continuing Care Retirement Commission as one of their top 25 Evaluators and an appointment to a 5 year term on the Maryland’s Howard County Board of Health.
