Jay Fulcher
ChairmanJay is a serial entrepreneur and an accomplished veteran of the software industry. Jay has held a variety of executive roles over the last 20+ years during which time he has built a highly regarded reputation for strong leadership, strategic thinking, and solid execution.
Jay is currently President & CEO of Ooyala, a leading online video company with over 600 customers including media firms and online marketers who are focused on leveraging and monetizing video. Prior to Ooyala Jay served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Agile Software, an 11-year-old publicly held enterprise software company which was acquired by Oracle in 2007. Jay has held senior roles in large enterprise software companies including SAP and PeopleSoft, as well as start-ups like Red Pepper Software and SkillsVillage (both later acquired by PeopleSoft).
In addition to his operating responsibilities, Jay has advised companies in industries ranging from Life Sciences to Clean Tech to Information Technology to Sports Media. In his advisory work, Fulcher helps companies with fundraising, executive recruiting, strategy and planning, business modeling and development, and M&A. Jay is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he currently serves on the Advisory Board for the College of Business (Lucas School). Jay is a director or advisor to several private companies and is active in a variety of industry, investment, education and leadership groups .
Kim Fulcher
Kim is an author, speaker, and accomplished professional coach. She has achieved national recognition in the fields of professional coaching, personal development, and workforce inclusion.
Named one of 2011’s Enterprising Women of the Year by Enterprising Women Magazine, Kim is a highly sought after speaker and media personality. She is a frequent guest in television and radio, and her expert advice has been featured in magazines such as Time, Fitness, Family Circle, and Seventeen. She is the author of Remodel Your Reality™; Seven Steps to Rebalance Your Life and Reclaim Your Passion, along with dozens of e-books and eCoaching programs.
An experienced entrepreneur and business leader, Kim’s professional history includes the co-founding of SkillsVillage, a contingent workforce software company which was acquired by PeopleSoft (now Oracle) in 2000. Prior to that, Kim was responsible for leading a Silicon Valley consulting firm.
Kim oversees all aspects of Compass’ strategy and operations, with a special focus on growing Compass’ brand and business around the world.
Paul Arenson
Paul Arenson has over twelve years of experience in technology, private equity and accounting. He is currently the president of Greendot Investments, LLC where he oversees the company’s portfolio of investments in the media, technology, financial, environmental and real estate sectors. Paul plays an active role in identifying, negotiating, and managing investment opportunities in early-stage and growth businesses for Greendot. A key theme in Paul’s investment strategy is to find spirited entrepreneurs with a passion for making a difference in people’s lives. This focus drove Paul’s decision to make a sizable investment in Compass and to serve as a board member.
Prior to joining Greendot, Paul spent nine years as a senior software engineer for both Blue Martini Software and Macromedia, Inc., focusing on web and CRM enterprise software applications. Paul also served as CIO for Spectratek Technologies, Inc. where he was responsible for the architecture and operations of the company’s manufacturing, ERP and IT systems.
Paul earned a degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, after which he worked as an auditor/accountant for Kellogg & Andelson Accountancy Corporation in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to serving on the board of Compass, he sits on several other boards as both a business advisor and investment partner.
Mike Morini
As President and CEO of Aria Systems, Mike Morini is responsible for the company’s overall strategy and execution. Morini is a seasoned software industry veteran with a passion for customer success. Prior to joining Aria Systems, he served as Head of Global Sales for SAP Business Objects, running a worldwide sales organization responsible for more than $1 billion dollars of annual revenue.
Morini came to SAP through its acquisition of OutlookSoft, a leading provider of planning and performance management software, where he served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations for 6 years. He managed OutlookSoft's growth from 10 customers to more than 800 prior to the acquisition by SAP.
Mike also held executive roles at SS&C Technology, Advent Software, and JD Edwards. He is a graduate from Colgate University, and began his professional career at IBM.
