My name is DeShea Markham. I am a woman of hope and resilience. I believe, I have survived because of my faith and the investment of others in my life.

I have spent time teaching,mentoring, counseling,performing community service,working with social service and non-profit organizations, and have been involved in the church in various capacities.

I like to write, read, teach, travel,and continuing to grow as an individual.

I have recently become a published author, co-writing an anthology called "No Glory Without A Story". The book launch date is June 10th!!

I Joined Compass because:
I want to invest in the lives of others so that they may be the 'shining star' they were meant to be. Accepting and embracing an individual for being unique is a gift and a lesson we must
not fail to learn or to teach. I desire to bring out the Compass life in those that I come in contact.
